With the "Interop Day Health Registry 2022" in July 2022, we joined forces with the WIG2 Institute to promote an open exchange of expertise on standardized registry data as an important factor for innovation in the healthcare sector. In various idea sprints, the participants developed future perspectives that enrich the professional discussion on the further development of medical registers. Prof. Dr. Sylvia Thun, Professor of Digital Medicine and Interoperability at Charité's Berlin Institute of Health, took part in Interop Day and gave an inspiring keynote speech. Impressions from Interop Day 2022:
White paper on the interoperability of health registers
Following the Interop Day, we worked with the WIG2 Institute to produce a 43-page white paper with practical recommendations for an interoperable registry landscape. The focus is on the question of how individual registries need to be designed, structured and implemented in order to generate added value for healthcare - and how interoperability with other systems in particular can serve as a key success factor.
