Ironforge supports DETEC and FDFA with IT projects
Ironforge Consulting has been awarded two public contracts: The DETEC and the FDFA will rely on Ironforge’s IT services going forward. This further expands the company’s collaboration with the federal administration.
Major IT projects at DETEC
The Federal Department of Infrastructure and the Environment (UVEK) comprises the General Secretariat as well as the Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE), Roads (ASTRA), the Environment (FOEN), Communications (OFCOM), Transport (FOT), Civil Aviation (FOCA), and Energy (SFOE). Over the next few years, the various federal offices plan to undertake strategically important, large-scale, and complex IT projects that must be managed and executed competently, efficiently, and successfully. Ironforge has been awarded four lots in the tender:
- Lot 4: Sub-project management for less complex projects (German)
- Lot 5: Project management for complex projects (German)
- Lot 7: Project Management Office
- Lot 13: Project team under a service contract or work contract
DEFRA has thus secured Ironforge’s expertise in these areas for the next five years.
ResEDA 3.0 – Resources in the Key Areas of IT and Project Management
The goal of the FDF’s request for proposals was to ensure access to expertise and resources in the
key areas of IT and project management for a period of five years, beginning in the
second quarter of 2025. Comprehensive services are required in the areas of product and project management, as well as development and support. These include analysis, management, quality assurance, systems engineering, application management, ICT security, and technical support.
Of the 29 bids received for Lot 1 (Product Management), 12 providers—including Ironforge—were awarded the contract. A framework agreement will be concluded with Ironforge covering the following service areas:
- Project Leadership
- Project Management Office
- Business Analysis
- Product Ownership
- User Experience Design
- Quality and Risk Management
We look forward to exciting projects at the FDFA and our continued contribution to Switzerland’s digitalization!
